3 weeks until we leave

Yes it is only 3 weeks today until my 2nd Needle & Thread Tour of the USA departs from Sydney. We will enjoy 18 days visiting LA, Boston, New York, Lancaster, Philadelphia & Houston.I have been busy over the past few evenings making some surprises for my ladies joining me on tour.Don’t you love the American flag????????????Kerry

Wool & Needle Flannels Two

The latest range of Wool and Needle flannels by Moda arrived in store a couple of weeks back, terrific colours priced @$20 per metre.

French fabrics proving very popular

This gorgeous French range of fabrics have proven extremely popular with all my retreat groups since they arrived in store last month. Lots of ladies have made different quilts using them and they all look stunning.Here are 3 different ones from my weekend retreat group, Wendy with her 12” Drunken Path blocks which show cased the fabrics beautifully, Alison with a variety of the blue fabrics made up in my Blueberry Pie design and Kathy with her version of my Antique Floral quilt design – the red looks stunning through the mix of French prints.I am happy to custom cut a kit for these or any fabrics in store.Kerry  

Dear Jane quilt

After making all these blocks I decided that it was time to finish my Dear Jane quilt now, Iam very happy with the way it has come together, not how I planned but better as a completed quilt top, rather then blocks in a basket, I will share a photo when it is quilted. Very happy with the result.

Rustique Jardin

Another wonderful day out today with my “ Rustique Jardin” friends. We visited 2 lovely gardens in the Walcha area, Lyn’s was amazing filled with so many interesting pieces of garden art and Julie’s was just a stunning country garden. Thanks You so much for allowing us to visit your gardens. We all had a great day as usual.I always come home very jealous that I can’t spend all day every day in my garden.Next month we are off to visit another stunning garden.Kerry

Union Jack blocks

Tuesday class made foundation pieced Union Jack blocks today for our monthly technique day, a block I have wanted to make for years, I do think I will be using mine as the start to another quilt, they all looked fabulous.
