Well life has been very busy here, weekly retreats, lots of flannel orders, but the cooking is all done and ready for my retreat group tomorrow.Slacko me forgot to take any photos of last weekend’s quilts, they were all great. The Woolly flannels that are in store at the moment are making up beautifully into an old pattern of mine “Spinning Pinwheels”. There were 4 very different ones made in last weekends group.Do hope everyone has been finding a little time to sew.Kerry
This was our last project for the Tuesday class – I made my original wall hanger many years ago and this is how their Miniature Log cabin Christmas tree turned out – they all looked great. Pre cut Kits are available for $28.
Last year I found this old table in the shearers hut so decided to strip it back for my outdoor entertaining area, believe me it wasn’t quite that easy but after lots of sanding this is how it came up. I love the colour I painted the legs. The red chair x2 have been around here for over 30 years, not very attractive but I love the way they have come up as well. I am very happy with my new/old furniture.Thanks for dropping byKerry

What a success, Saturday saw me hang over 120 quilts in the paddock surrounding the Cottage on the Hill, it was a fine and sunny day with a nice breeze to give all these quilts a good airing. We had a terrific crowd throughout the day, lots of whom travelled a great distance to view the quilts and enjoy the Devonshire tea - this year I combined it with the Cancer Council's "Biggest Morning Tea", I had set a target of $500 and we raised more then that so I was very happy. Thanks to all those who donated quilts and a big thank you to my Tuesday ladies who worked hard serving up lots of cuppa's all day.
Also arriving in store yesterday are some of the "Little Red Riding Hood" fabrics from Riley Blake - these are so gorgeous I couldn't wait to make something up so stay tuned I will be back to share my completed project soon. We have packs of 24 x 10" squares and rolls of 24 x 2 & 1/2" strips both priced at $32, also the fabrics off the bolt are $20 per metre. These won't last long.
