Tuesday evening this week Geoffrey and I took a quick trip to Scone to listen to Annette Gero speak on the History of Quilts in Australia. Her talk was amazing - even Geoffrey was extremely interested in her knowledge she shared with us all.
And look who I ran into - just fancy meeting Lea and Alison there - it was so nice to chat with them and share our passion for patchwork.
If anyone out there has any quilts from the past please treasure them dearly and make sure that the next generation know the story behind them. One thing Annette said was that the modern patchworker should always label their quilts to make identifcation in the future much easier - I am guilty of not putting a label on all of my quilts but she has made me really think of the future so maybe one day I will try and go back and make sure they all are labelled - how about you do you label all of your work.
