This goegeous range of fabrics from Laundry Basket quilts arrived in store a little while back - Love Letters - priced at $20 per metre. I love the richness of the colours and the details in the prints - just beautiful
Once again we have started working on another Paper Bag quilt - friendship quilt. This years is a block exchange where you pick a block, make one up then everyone else has to make up a block for you throughout the year. This is my block a red basket. I love the combination of red and cream together and I have always wanted to make a basket quilt. So I looking forward to receiving all my basket blocks back laterin the year and then turning it into a quilt. Block exchanges are so much fun.
Thanks for sharing Monday with me
Meet Bow, Daphne's brother who Nicole accidently found, as a give away on the net. When his little face appeared on her screen she knew he was meant to be ours. Remember last years Olive harvest, I soaked then and marinated them for 6 months, they turned out really yummy, not that many of them left, well its harvest time again. I have read that Olive trees have a really good crop one year then a not such good crop. Last year I picked 10kilos off my largest tree this year only about one kilo, but wow they are huge big olives. Gosh you feel good when you harvest fresh produce from your own garden.
Just thought I would share with you my Rose of Sharon that has been in full bloom now for about 6 weeks, it is amazing - day one the flowers are white, day 2 they are light pink and day 3 they are dark pink - it usually doesn't flower until the end of April and then usually gets hit by an early frost - not sure why it has been flowering for so long this year - maybe it has something to do with the mild summer.
Whats flowering in your garden at the moment???.
Another great group of ladies enjoying themselves at GDITC. Thanks to all those who travelled from far and wide to attend this year, it was certainly a wonderful 2 groups - over 170 ladies from as far north as Rockhampton, and south the Borassa Valley and everywhere in between.
