Quilt Airing

My 3rd Annual Outdoor Quilt Airing is on again next Saturday October 1st - come to Nundle for the day and view the wonderful array of quilts on display. I hope to hang at least 100 quilts in the paddock surrounding the shop. Devonshire tea will be served all day, as well as English paper piecing demonstrations, so come along and join us for a great day out. 10am to 4pm

If anyone has a quilt they would like to loan me for the day - please send me a message and I will organise to collect them.

50 years and still friends

 
A couple of weeks back I had a group of women in for morning tea - these ladies met in Nundle for a few days on a 50 year reunion - they all trained together a nurses and meet reguarly for reunions. This year they celebrated 50 years since they all graduated - what an achievement to still be in contact and to be still friends after all this time.

Exciting News and great weekend

Some of you may already had heard our very exciting news - for those that haven't Nicole and Josh announced their engagement a couple of weeks back. Their wedding will take place  in December so there has been lots of planning and organising going on here - amazing how quickly it can all come together - the reception will be here at home, so you know all those jobs in the garden I just haven't got around to - well guess what I have started and have lots to do in the next few months.

Also I had a great weekend away at a school reunion / 50th Birthday bash - I was blessed to go to school in Dubbo alot of years ago with a wonderful group of people, whom I can still call friends. It s so amazing how strong our bond is after lots of years. Here is a group of us wine tasting and enjoying each others company.

Cheese Making course

A few weeks back Nicole and I, along with a few other friends were lucky enough to be able a soft cheese making course. We had a great day and loved making the 6 different cheeses. Here are a few of my photos from the day. Since then I have been busy at home making Camembert, Feta and Ricotta. Some of my retreat ladies have sampled my cheeses with their lunches - if you have ever thought about doing a cheese making workshop then I would recommend that you do - I love it and you know the best thing is that I can make my own cheese Lactose Free.

The round cheeses are our Camembert and this large square one is Feta.
