Hi everyone, wow what a week it has been, not only has Queensland been flooded but now Victoria as well, my thoughts and prayers go out to all those effected.
Yesterday a dear friend, Tina, contacted me to ask my help with her "FAT 1/4 ROUND UP - as a patchworker and sewer Tina wanted to help the flood effort in some small but touching way - the thought of not even having a needle and thread in the house gave Tina the idea to collect fat 1/4's, scissors, thread, pins, needles or anything else ladies would like to donated. She will then package these goods into small wrapped parcels. They willthen be handed out to ladies who have lost everything in the floods, through Tina's friends and family in QLD - if any one can donate something towards her effort it would be greatly - you can send them to me or contact Tina direct by leaving a comment on her blog
Quilts to Share
Also in store here I have started a collection of quilts to be donated to families in need in QLD - these will be delivered personally to families effected by the floods - we may need to extend this to Vic as well. So if you have a quilt that you would like to donate to the flood victims, please contact me - we all know how much love is share by the giving of a homemade quilt.
This is the first one to come out of my stash to go to the collection for the flood victims of QLD.
Thanks to those that have been bidding on the fabric bundle, I will be posting something else up in a day or so to be auctioned so if you would like to help with the flood appeal stay tuned.
Hope everyone is safe and well
Hugs Kerry
