I must appologise for not posting everyday over Easter - we actually had lots of trouble with the internet - it is still cutting in and out - which makes posting very interesting.
We had a great Easter - I worked hard both Saturday and Sunday in the shop with lots of visitors in Nundle for the Easter Festival. Figures say there were about 8,000 people in town Saturday and 6,000 on Sunday - for a village of 250 residents the Festival is a huge boost to the local economy. Sorry no photos to share of the festival this year as I spent most of the time cutting fabrics and chatting to lots of lovely ladies and gentlemen. I have had a big run on ladies who are booked into retreats in May and June visiting me over the past week to pick their quilts and fabrics - it is great to be so organised but it has meant lots of cutting for me - but wow these quilts are all going to look great.
The quilts in last weekends retreat came up really well, Lousie was thrilled with her very first quilt - she made my So Pink pattern using gorgeous Lakehouse fabrics from Holly Holderman, and Wendy's black and white quilt turned out stunning. Thanks ladies for sharing a wonderful weekend with me in Nundle - I look forward to seeing you all again.
I also have found a little time to sew over the past week, some of my Tuesday ladies have been making bags for friends having babies, so I decided to join in as well, I have a friend who is due very soon. This is my version of the nappy bag.
Sorry the photo is a bit dark.
Thanks for dropping by,
Kerry
