FIS Birthday swap Gift
I was so lucky last week for my Birthday to receive this gorgeous swap gift from Susan – she made me this very cute little sewing bag in my favourite colour with tiny hand pieced hexies on 3 sides and a friendship saying on the other. Also I received a beautiful mug with Blue and white china decals, she must have known I have a collection of blue and white. A change of scenery
Thursday if this week I ventured to Coonabarabran to teach for the day. I use to teach all over the place but for years now I been so busy here in the shop with 2 day retreats so I haven’t been able to but when I was asked to go out there I thought it would be a great change of scenery. It was, I loved meeting all the ladies in class and enjoying their excitement of learning something new. They worked on my “Country Garden Book cover” – this was Jane’s version, and some of the ladies with their completed covers.And look who came for a drive to spend the day sewing with us – believe it or not she actually did lots of sewing.Great day and the special thing was that I got to visit Nicole, Josh and Eliza on the way.

Very Busy
Well life has been very busy here, weekly retreats, lots of flannel orders, but the cooking is all done and ready for my retreat group tomorrow.Slacko me forgot to take any photos of last weekend’s quilts, they were all great. The Woolly flannels that are in store at the moment are making up beautifully into an old pattern of mine “Spinning Pinwheels”. There were 4 very different ones made in last weekends group.Do hope everyone has been finding a little time to sew.Kerry

Christmas Project No 4
This was our last project for the Tuesday class – I made my original wall hanger many years ago and this is how their Miniature Log cabin Christmas tree turned out – they all looked great. Pre cut Kits are available for $28.

restoration project
Last year I found this old table in the shearers hut so decided to strip it back for my outdoor entertaining area, believe me it wasn’t quite that easy but after lots of sanding this is how it came up. I love the colour I painted the legs. The red chair x2 have been around here for over 30 years, not very attractive but I love the way they have come up as well. I am very happy with my new/old furniture.Thanks for dropping byKerry
